About Russ Mason
I grew up a military brat and moved about every 3 years. I got to see most of the world. I went to Texas A&M. I flew for the Airforce in Vietnam. I went to work for Southwest in 1979-2018. I am now retired.
I started writing individual poetry for my friends back in 1983. I have written over 1500 poems for flight attendant friends and their children. I have entered my poetry in some contests and won a few awards. If I cannot get a tear, an “ooh” or an “ahh”, then I have failed.
I live in College Station, Texas with my wife, Nancy. We love seeing our grandkids. I love to travel and fly every chance I get.
